Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Historian Keith Flett writes this week about a newly released document from the National Archives that reveals that Haringey Council were under scrutiny in 1988 as part of the Subversion in Public Life investigation.

The intelligence services were trying to find out how many Communists and Trotskyists might be in public service but also had a poke around in local authorities.
