Wheelchair/Walking Frame

Hello!

I have an elderly aunt which has a reduce mobility and she requires a wheelchair or a walking frame. If you have one or know someone who has one and is willing to give it away or sell it please let me know. She needs it asap, as this is her only solution to get outdoors.

Hi Ana. If your aunt is a Haringey resident the council provide a service for the equipment like this. The advantage of the assessment is that your aunt will get mobility aids to precisely suit her needs. Go to the Haringey.gov.uk website and search for mobility. Other than that the British Red Cross offer short term loans of equipment until something permanent can be sorted out

Haringey are notoriously slow. Even though I've already been assessed by them and have a request from the hospital for an item, apart from a letter of confirmation they still haven't got back to me after 6 months.
