Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

It's pancake day today and I've been persuaded to make some American style pancakes for tea. Any tips for better pancakes? What do you think goes best on top of American style pancakes?

For those sticking with European pancakes, what are your favourite toppings?

Personally for the more traditional style, I love a bit of ham and cheese for starters, then chocolate (and ice cream) for sweet. 

Any more?

I started with a savoury pancake, by frying together onions, thinly sliced courgettes and mushrooms with herbs and then mixed in some garlic and herb soft cheese, then wrapped the mixture in a pancake - LUSH! That was followed by a dollop of Carte D'or caramel and cinnamon ice cream, which melted slightly when I wrapped it up in a warm pancake....mmmmmmm! :-D

My favourite pancake of last night (and there were many!)

classic crepe style pancake, flambéd in a little brandy, served with ice cream, nutella and raspberry purée.
