Last few times ive been in the bitter has been dire

Barstaff are pouring pints flatter than a pancake

Whats going on? Starting to avoid going there now

I don't drink the yucky fizzy stuff so can't comment about the "flatness" but the bitters are fine. The Garden Ladder do nice beer too.

It was the bitters John. Really flat. they just get poured out like their pouring water. If your going to get bar staff you need to teach them how to pour a decent pint.

Flat bitter is often caused by traces of detergent on the glass, or possibly grease. I should watch how they wash/dry the glasses.

Wet glass will not provide a foamy head for any gassy beverage no matter who pours it (ex barman)
