Children excited and Mog gets her first experience of snow - I think she needs to work on her camouflage a bit though.

That looks deep! Is that a cat statue? It seems to be embedded in the snow with no footprints behind it!

No she's our cat and is alive, although a bit chilly. She hasn't seen snow before so was very unsure about her feet disappearing. She got the hang of it and enjoyed chasing some snow balls a bit later on.

I love the care they took with the roof of that church. Every time I go by I admire those spires.

Looks like they had an avalanche!

I LOVE this picture - thank you for sharing :)

Down the road, a guy and his daughter are clearing the snow from the front of a pensioners house and asking her if they need to get her anything from the shops.  Another guy has taken it upon himself to grit the pavements. And folk are getting together at midday to clear the Passage.

This sort of community spirit would never have happened in the 'genteel' Hertfordshire village I lived in before here and is another reason why if I won the lottery, I wouldn't move an inch.

Keep those sentiments coming Reggie! Love the river pic.

What Inwouldnlove is that we could get access to the river in summertime. What would be nicer than sitting on our own 'beach' during the height of summer.

Our snowman!

A snowman with legs, wow!

A slideshow of pics from our flickr site ... taken this morning at Ducketts Common.
