Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

The new National Science and Engineering Week (12–21 March) project, “What on Earth” (http://www.whatonearth.org.uk), is a call-to-action to identify as many plants and animals as possible in UK parks, gardens and hedgerows. They'd like everyone to go outside and reconnect with all the weird and wonderful flora and fauna that inhabits our small but diverse land.

Upload a photo of anything you don't recognise in your local park, garden or outside your office and in return they'll send you a free packet of seeds designed to encourage more creatures to inhabit your local space (subject to availability), in addition to a Biodiversity Information and Activity Pack, which will be ready in time for the Week.

What on Earth has been launched for just 2 months only, in conjunction with the Open University’s iSpot. It’s a great way to get out into your garden and re-explore your natural surroundings!

What’s more – they are offering a green roof to a school in the area of the UK that collectively uploads the most photos by the end of the Week! So support your local schools and get involved.
