Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Western Road recycling
Just drove down Western Road past a long static q of cars at the recycling centre. Quite hazardous. Is this due to the closure of Park Road centre?

That and it being the day after Twelfth Night, so out with that Christmas tree they all thought. Plus Hackney have no in-borough recycling site at all.

What on earth could bring people in their cars from all over London to Harringay in the middle of the day... on a Sunday? Was I wrong?

The Western Road Recycling centre is a great success with friendly staff and good equipment. There are queues of cars to enter it on weekends but on weekdays it is quieter. There is only parking inside for six cars to unload at a time. Vans are not allowed to enter it without a booking but any car from anywhere in London is able to drive in and unload free of charge.
