On the 20th March 2017, the land where the reserve resides was a derelict and a heavily fly tipped site and this is where GrowN22 C.I.C. Managing Director, Luke ‘Duke’ Newcombe, started his venture into community gardening.
Over the past five years, the land has been cleansed of fly tipped waste, had various enhancements made to the pathways and installed a wildlife pond along with many more activities to create a unique biodiverse haven for wildlife.
