From late 1979 for about three years we had kept three nanny goats in a shed in our garden.  We had excellent milk, yogurt and cheese.  The nannies were taken to a billy goat and they each had kids.  The male kids were donated to members of the local Turkish community and would certainly have been eaten. I have eaten goat meat from time to time and found it not so very different from lamb.

Don't eat those nasty factory processed kebabs. Totally yuck. 

Green Lanes has some excellent home made döner. Antepliler Dönor is as good as you'll find anywhere.  They use (beef) veal not lamb.
