In one of those extraordinary moments when you see something amazing on quite an ordinary day, I was privileged to watch a flock of waxwings flying over the Harringay Passage, resting for an all too brief moment in a tree in a garden next to the Passage.
It's the first time in my life, after many years of squinting into trees and scouring the sky as a keen but quite bad birdwatcher, that I got to see these beautiful birds.
There are terrible Iphone photos but they are at least a record of a special moment. I hardly dared breathe until they had gone.
