The following from Haringey Council:
Severe weather is affecting waste collections this week, with icy pavements and side streets causing problems.
The council and waste contractors Veolia are aiming to complete the fortnightly refuse collections scheduled for this week wherever possible, and will attempt to pick up recycling at the same time.
Collections are likely to be one day behind, with the aim today (Tuesday) to pick up Monday’s scheduled refuse collection, and so on, until the backlog is clear and normal schedules are resumed. If necessary the crews will work on Saturday to catch up.
If we are unable to collect some or all of your recycling this week we will make a double collection next week. Please try to compress bulky recyclable items like cartons and cardboard boxes to make sure that as much recycling as possible fits into the recycling wheelie bins and bags.
