My washing machine door won't open. (There is no water inside. It was fine last time it finished and I shut the door and now it won't open). I have tried doing a short spin cycle, checked the filter and unplugged it. No luck so far.
There is praise for GLS on Middle Lane for mending washing machines, on HoL, although not that recently.
Any ideas, anyone? Thank you.

I second Hornsey Appliance Centre. Local and reasonable. They have been around as long as we have been around in the ladder for 10 years or so.
GLS are lovely. My machine broke because the dial fell off - he ordered me a new one but then talked me how to refit it myself so I could avoid a call out fee from him. If he'd told me he it was tricky and he'd need to do it I'd have been none the wiser, so really appreciated his honesty.
Thanks for your comments.
I decided to try JSG Electrical in Middle Lane, Crouch End. (It is JSG not GLS as I wrote above).
I can only add to the praise that Brian at JSG has received from others on Harringay Online.
I rang JSG on Tuesday, Brian came round within half an hour, discovered the door handle was broken, and ordered a new part. He has been back this morning to fit it.
Fantastic prompt service and very reasonable at £40 for labour (two visits), and £8 for the part, plus VAT.
Thanks JSG, and thanks HoL.
