Rather than wander round the ladder pulling old boards out of skips I thought I'd post and see if anyone has some they'd like to get rid of. The longer the better.

I dont imagine many people throw their floorboards to skips these days :)
You can get them in reclaim yards but they cost a fortune. Also, ours cracked a bit after one month's usage but I still love them and wouldn't want any other material on my floors.
we used a batch from these guys to replace our rotten floor; they delivered it for free.
[editing to note: our cast-off floorboards would have also carried woodworm, so be wary of those skips...]
Actually, in order to take anything from the skip you need to get their permission. but you probably know that yourself.
Personally, I was annoyed by people rummaging our skip while "looking for metal".
Surely that's just the best example of recycling instead of the stuff going to the dump and landfill plus it leaves more room in your skip for other stuff you need to throw out! I can't see why you'd mind people doing that!
Because our builders didnt leave any metal (or anything else that’s valuable) in the skip so they were wasting their time. But mostly because rummaging leaves a mess as people cannot be bothered to put things back and leave stuff scattered on the road.
Fair enough! But remember one person's junk is another person's treasure!

I'm pulling up a couple today from our landing at 83 Pemberton Road. Not brilliant condition, but you've very welcome to them! One is pretty long.
