Hi,
I want to walk the Lycian Way in southern Turkey mid March - early April and need a travel buddy cos I can't trek on my own. I love to walk on holidays - distance walking is such a feeling of freedom it is the ultimate break for me.
The walk has its own website just google it and flights will cost about £150 tops if booked soon. It takes two weeks to walk it.
The weather should be warm in the day (but not hot) probably dropping at night on high ground. I haven't yet decided if it is best to camp or use local accommodation. The trail is waymarked, reducing the need for detailed map reading every step of the way.
If you're like-minded I'd be happy to hear from you - can go with one person or we can make a little group? I'm female, early 30s, pretty easy going, love food and different cultures, good with people, not overly fit but have good stamina. I get fit on the walks its the only way!
If it sounds like a huge commitment or doesn't work out don't worry it is possible to descend from the trail and transport is very good up that coast. Turkey is a lovely country and this is the optimum time of year to do the walk.
Message me if this appeals!
*NB I wouldn't normally be posting an ad for a travel partner but walking is a particular thing and not many of my friends are into it.*
