Visit a local green home this weekend - the first of two 'Green Open Homes' weekends organised bu the Muswell Hill Sustainability Group.Take away tips for cutting carbon and costs in your own home.

SATURDAY 13th NOVEMBER (IN-PERSON)

Edwardian house (corner plot) with original features plus underfloor and ‘Sempatap’ internal wall insulation, ‘Magneglaze’ secondary glazing, wood burners, solar hot water and solar PV panels, low-energy bathroom fan, living wall and green roof.

1920s semi-detached house.  External, internal and underfloor insulation, triple glazing, air source heat pump, woodstove, solar PV panels.

MONDAY 15th NOVEMBER (Online)

1. Chester Road, N19

Victorian semi-detached house.  Internal wall insulation, mechanical ventilation and heat recovery, solar PV, solar water heating, sun pipe, woodstove.

There will be a chance to quiz the owner, and there will also be a talk about deep retrofitting from local Muswell Hill expert Dermot Barnes.
