Vintage Dance Classes at Ally Pally

The Cake Walk Revival promises to bring decadent 1930s swing and ragtime jazz, alongside top hats and tails, to the Palm Court on Sunday, February 27, with what is hoped to be the first of many monthly dance classes.

But organisers are also appealing for people to donate their old furniture, lamps, rugs and antiques to help make the event even more of a vintage affair.

They have already been given a piano to use for the occasion, but are looking for a piano tuner to recondition the instrument.

The first event, which starts at 5.30pm, will play host to gramophone DJ Foxtrot Fanny, of The Shellac Sisters, and six piece band The Cafetieres.
