So, the Children Schools and Families minister, Diana Johnson basically said (in reply to Lynne Featherstone's very detailed presentation);

'get stuffed'

1. Haringey is one of 6 boroughs with a funding gap (between inner London pay scales paid by schools and outer London funding rate per child) so basically the minister is saying Haringey isn't a special case.
2. That Haringey will have to wait for the Formula Review Group (which looks at various complicated formulas to decide funding) to see what it decides. A consultation process will start in January.
3. That the request for emergency gap funding (until a new formula is announced) is NOT possible. That the number of schools in 'deficit' in Haringey is not 27 now (as Lynne stated) but 15.
4. The minister has agreed to meet with Lynne Featherstone on these issues further.
5. That David Lammy & the Labour Council are supporting LF's campaign for better per pupil funding for Haringey.
