Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I do not normally see when the waste collection happens but as it happens today I was near the window as saw bins from outside my house (conversion) being taken out by one man and other two bins (from previous house) being put in their place.

You would say a bin is a bin BUT I clean the ones at the front of my house and was wondering why they get so filthy so quickly so now I know why.

Any point calling Veolia about that?

Not very happy to have stinky bins instead of the ones I cleaned only a week ago.

Yes, I could swap them back myself now but normally I am not at home at this time and would not like to have to do it every week.

Paint numbers on the leads?

When Haringey introduced the green bins, for a lot of homes fitting them in was like playing the ancient computer game Tetris.

Looking on the brighter side, with some thought and perseverance there are often ways around the problems. For instance I doubt that things are as bad as shown in HoL's back pages. Here for example some problems posted in 2012.

About planning/building advice, sorry, I'm way out of date. But I expect other HoL members may have recent experience of local firms which they used and were helpful.
