Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Good evening all,
I am looking for some venue suggestions for a 5 year old children's party. Ideally in the vicinity of Wood Green. And if anyone knows of any local kids' party performers - magician, story telling, singing etc.
Thanks for your help
Katie

I would give the soft play centre in Wood Green a miss -- incredibly loud and very surly staff. Not really very pleasant for a kids' party.  You can hire the YMCA annexe opposite Hornsey station -- that's great for kids as it's like having your own private soft play (no idea about the cost of it though). In terms of other soft plays there's Pirates Playhouse down Green Lanes (piratesplayhouse.com) and Little Dinosaurs in Ally Pally (littledinosaurs.co.uk).  It's slightly further away but Queens Wood Cafe near Highgate Tube (http://queenswoodcafe.co.uk/childrens-parties/) do lovely themed children's parties with songs and story telling.

Burghley Road Play Space can be hired - have been to kids parties there with my small ones. It's a good space.

Would agree about the soft play in Wood Green.

We're having our 6 year olds birthday at the Markfield Centre, in Markfield Park, Tottenham

Not quite Wood Green, but worth the short trip - excellent outdoor adventure playground, small indoor soft play, loads of space.

I've been to a kids party in Willoughby methodist church hall, corner of Hampden Road and Willoughby Road. Also I believe Burghley Road play centre can be hired for parties. Also been to one at Hornsey Vale community centre at Weston Park school. Wolves Lane garden centre -  my son has been to a party there. There's a palm house, desert area and animal handling.

Further away from Wood Green there's upstairs at Eagle nursery - on Green Lanes between Allison and Beresford Road. Upstairs at South Haringay school swimming pool. Or back room of the salisbury! We've had a first and a fourth birthday party there.

Little dinosaurs is good though not that cheap  and not sure if it would work with an entertainer. Kidz Adventure Zone in wood green that Paul mentions is a bit charmless but great space.

We have used the Magical Jello for a sixth birthday party and been to a couple of other parties with him - he does magic and slapstick and the kids really love it!

Good luck!
