Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Vacuum Cleaner filters

Does anyone know if any of the shops in Harringay (near Green Lanes) or within walking distance sell Miele vacuum cleaners? Desperately need to get one ASAP.

There used to be a place in the markety bit of Wood Green - sorry I can't remember if its the bit next to Shopping City or the bit next to the library, and no idea if its still there

You could try the stall in the Market inside Wood Green Shopping City that Betty is referring to, have had vac bags from there fairly recently.

Have been searching on this site but think the recommendations I recall and can see were for vac repair, rather than bag or filter replacement.

The stall (Neil's Electrics) did have what I needed but unfortunately, my vacuum cleaner still doesn't work so now will bring it in to see if it can be repaired.

If you thought it needed a new filter, presumably the motor is running ?

It might just be that the pipe between the sucky bit ( technical term ) and the bag is blocked. Easy enough to unblock but disconnect from the plug so you don't chop up your fingers.

Unfortunately, the motor isn't running. As a matter of fact, whilst vacuuming, the motor died and it seemed to be running hot. I still need to take it in to be sure, but have a feeling the motor has gone to that big carpet warehouse in the sky and will need to get a whole new vacuum cleaner.
