Urban Harvest Calendar for 2012
Below is a list of dates taken from the Sustainable Haringey blog about Urban Harvest's upcoming events.
- Regular activity on 3rd Sat of the month, with a couple of extra dates.
- They’ll also be picking apples for people who can’t pick their own or have too many – join them, or why not leaflet your neighbourhood and do the same?
- Activities always subject to change if they have a better idea / a better offer / a wonky season (ie plants don’t grow to our timetable).
- Your suggestions welcome - always looking for good sites & cheap venues (indoors for cold weather)
- Hopefully Ed will add the odd fungus walk to the schedule

- Sat 21 Jan 2012 13:00 Foraging walk Winter Salad Challenge (ie can they come up with a decent bowlful?).
- Sat 18 Feb 2012 13:00 ‘Know Your Alliums’. Learning about Wild Garlic and its relations.
- Sat 17 Mar 2012 13:00 Nettle Celebration. Eat them, drink them, wear them.
- Sat 21 Apr 2012 13:00 Foraging walk. Seasonal Spring specials: Lime leaves; Hop shoots; Dandelions; Hogweed; etc
- Sat 19 May 2012 13:00 Ever-lovely Elderflowers.
- Sat 16 Jun 2012 13:00 Our annual Edible Flowers Celebration. With floral summer cocktails.
- Sat 21 Jul 2012 13:00 Plums. Perhaps loquats & mulberries too?
- Sat 18 Aug 2012 13:00 Harvesting summer fruits. We get stuck into the glut of apples, pears, plums etc...
