UPVC doors and windows have added security features built in which can significantly improve the security of your home when used properly both day and night. Windows should be locked shut using the key and the key removed from the lock. Doors should be double locked using the integral security bolts.
The attachment better explains how the locks should be activated and points out that some security bolts are not locked in place just by pulling the door handle up. It is important that these security systems are used properly both day and night. Always remove the keys.
