Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hello all,

Cllr Rosie Latchford here just providing an update on the long closed entrances at Turnpike Lane tube station.

We've been chasing TfL and Thames Water for a date on when they can get these re-opened, I totally understand how frustrating this has been for residents given it's been well over a year.

I have just heard back, and it's somewhat good news. Thames Water have completed its works and TfL are now undertaking repairs to get the passages back into a condition that is both safe and suitable for residents, including fixing several broken lights, damaged customer information panels and flaking ceiling finishes.

They don't have an exact re-opening date, but I will keep pushing for one. They assure me they are working as quickly as possible.

As always, reach out if you have any questions on rosie.latchford@haringey.gov.uk

I also hold monthly surgeries on the 1st Tuesday of each month, 6.30pm-8pm at South Harringay School - and really encourage you to come along if you need support with something.

At Manor House an additional factor is that the leaks in the long passageway leading to Green Lanes northbound have also caused the CCTV to fail without which the passage cannot be safely opened. So said a station staff member some months ago.

Thanks for joining the discussion on this topic, Rosie. On page 2 of the existing discussion, JulieB shared the contents of an email she was sent by TFL this week which referred to Exits 4 and five being closed for maintenance but didn’t refer to exit 6, which is the one in question. Is it clear in the communication to you that exit 6 will also be included in the maintenance? (for a description of which exit is which, see the linked page).
