Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

So the southern end of the Ladder seems to be walking it in the virtual blue plaque stakes. We just added air ace and civil aviation pioneer Herbert G Brackley to our virtual blue plaque map (Thanks Angela).

He joins another bluplaquist in Umfreville and a third nearby in Burgoyne. Anyone know any more we can award across the Ladder or in the Gardens? We can't have the Burgfreville area having it all its own way, now!

There's a Barbara Windsor one going begging for Green Lanes if we can find the exact address.

Well, my husband Michael Donaghy was a much-celebrated and prizewinning poet who died in 2004 at the age of 50. He lived in Umfreville Road for ten years 1994-2004, prior to that six years in Burgoyne, and before that a year in Stanhope Gardens. But I'll settle for one plaque if he qualifies.
Thanks Maddy. A quick Google suggests that Michael was a well known and respected poet. So we'd love to include him. I guess we should plump for Umfreville since he lived there the longest. Do you have the house numbers of his various addresses?
Yes, I wasn't making it up, Hugh:) Not Poet Laureate, but very loved and admired in his own field.
88 Umfreville Rd from 1994-2004/ 51 Burgoyne Rd from 1988-1994and I think 117 or 118 Stanhope Gardens from 1987-8.
Noo, I didn't think you were making it up. (More of gentle hint to Liz that we won't list her Granny cos she made nice Eccles cakes.).

So we can do Umf & refence Burg, but we'd better leave Stanhope off if the address isn't certain.
It's the last but one house on the left at the far end, so if you're out on one of your neighbourhood strolls you might check out the number. I looked at it one StreetView but not specific enough. My husband used to say it was the most boring street in the world to walk all the way down - apologies to all SG-dwellers.
That's the most difficult street to see house number on that I've come across on StreetView. But you can see 97. That would make the last house on the left 115. Sound right?
I've added Michael now Maddy. Thanks.
For Pete's sake, how many times! My grandma is from Norwich not the North - she couldn't make an Eccles cake if her life depended on it - pretty decent fudge though.

Babs Windsor is not my grandma either before anyone asks.

p.s. I've linked to Michael on the Poetry Archive here on the site.
And remember he'll be eligible for a Haringey Green Plaque in Sept 2014.
Babs lived at 42a Grand Parade
Thanks Liz.
