Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

A while back I had the useful info from this website about how to reclaim for out of date parking permits (visitor ones). Does anyone know if this still works? I have a 3 pm appointment with the council to buy new permits and they always just tell you that getting recompense for outdated permits isn't possible, but there used to be a way round this.

Secondly, I'm not a driver but was curious for a neighbour, who was incandescent to get 4 tickets (they only arrive a week later so he didn't know he'd committed an offence)..... in Enfield borough he 4 times drove through something called a Bus Gate, but the symbol was in blue, not the usual red, which he thought very misleading. Has anyone come across this? He didn't contest these fines but I guess one could if the signage has been misleading?

As ever I'd be grateful for any experience/insights.

On bus gates, the required signage is in accordance with the TfL design manual

Below is the extract for signage for bus gates

Thanks - will tell my neighbour about this. The sign he showed me looked nothing like these.

What did it look like?

Can't recall too clearly as it was on his phone quickly shown but it was a blue ringed notice (not red) and I don't think it had a bus on it.

Fight them. I got caught out at Finsbury Park/Stroud Green. I was behind a bus so didn't see the signage, although it transpired later that it complied.

The local boroughs see it as easy money from obliging motorists. Scandlous really.
