Harringay online

Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I'm away from home, and received notification of a book that I requested, which needs to be picked up before I get back. No problem, I thought, I'll just ring the library and request that they either keep it a bit longer or pass it on to the next person on the list.

After twenty minutes on hold with the new Haringey library phone service, I get though to someone who tells me he can't deal with that kind of issue and will pass me over to someone else. The next thing is I have been transferred to St Ann's library, which isn't where the book is held, and they also cannot deal with it (despite the system being computerised). They suggest I call Hornsey Library, which is where I started this process, ringing a number on their email which is no longer valid  - I was given a couple of other numbers to 'try', both of which ring for a short while and are then cut off abruptly.

Does anyone have an email address for Hornsey library, as that might be a better way of contacting them? (The email I got says 'no reply').

Clutching at straws here, but the Library Catalogue site has a Feedback option, which states 'If you would like us to reply to you, please include your name and email address or telephone number'. Good luck!

Maddy. I pass Hornsey library every day. If you care to send me a letter ( with details ) addressed to Hornsey librarians explaining that you want to extend I will happily hand it in.

That's a kind offer John - I'll give it another try phoning them tomorrow, and if no luck I'll message you.

I've sent you a message on HoL, John.

i've been waiting since august for a reply to a perfectly ordinary everyday question. i have had one of my ward councillors contact them on my behalf since then and even he can't get a reply even after contacting deputy head of libraries. the people trying to run the libraries are completely disfunctional, out of their depth and cannot be trusted.
