Trees of Harringay: A perfect pear on Green Gate Common

There's a beautifully shaped pear tree currently in blossom on Green Gate Common (you can see it from buses going down West Green Road as well).

Put me in mind of the lines from Spring by Gerard Manley Hopkins

"...The glassy peartree leaves and blooms, they brush         

The descending blue; that blue is all in a rush
