Meet at the cafe before heading down to ELL, the plant nursery ... OR stay in the cafe and discuss plant proteins with Jon, detox recipes with Dani and how to make bean sprouts with Frankie and Gemma. Crafternoon Teas will be happening every other Sunday, at least until April. We'll be tree grafting, bike repairing, bird box building and much more. Let us know if there's a skill you want to teach or learn.

~*~*~ GROW LIKE A PRO - free gardening workshop ~*~*~

Get advice and support. Start growing your own food right now! Seeds and earth supplied, just bring your pot. Featuring peppers, aubergine and basil. With Mike Wohl, Director of Let's Go Lets Grow.

~*~*~ OUR CHANGING HIGH STREET and REconomy ~*~*~
There's some interesting work going on in blog land. Check out Rob Hopkins's interesting piece on the Portas Review which has led to our arranging a meeting with Hackney Council. We will be discussing how to revitalise our local high streets, something I know lots of us care about. You should also know there are opportunities for passionate locals to get involved with the REconomy project. We'd like to transform the N4 economy so that it serves and inspires us. Let TFP know if you're interested in that.

~*~*~ ELL, your local edible plant nursery ... come TRAIN WITH US in 2012 ~*~*~
This wonderful plant growing and education project is going from strength to strength. Not only can you turn up and learn about gardening for free any Monday or Thursday (and earn Time Credits with Haringey Timebank) but now you can learn useful horticultural skills with us. We have 4 training sessions between February and July (more details here) taking place on Saturdays and then repeated the following Thursday. There are a range of ways of paying, including giving your time as a volunteer.

~*~*~ AND FINALLY the Social Reporting project ~*~*~
Jo Homan will be continuing her writing for the Transition Network website as a Social Reporter. This project publishes daily stories from 12 UK transitioners as well as many guest bloggers. Follow us on @ttreporters or the website.
