So far unconfirmed and nothing on Haringey website, but apparently parking enforcement will be restarting from next Tuesday. A friend saw it on Wood Green Appreciation Facebook Page and alerted me. They did say they would reinstate it without warning so thought it worth mentioning.

Many thanks for this notice xx
Thanks for flagging this. Out of interest, I just asked a warden walking along Station Road – he said he hadn't heard the above and believed reinstating enforcement Tuesday would be too short notice. His thoughts were that parking restrictions would be back early June, probably Monday 1st. Again, this is only the wardens opinion. No official notice given.
Maybe it's different in Wood Green - I believe the original information came also from a chat with a warden.
What are the wardens doing at work if all the schemes are suspended?
I’m baffled as to why the council suspended the schemes. The official line was ‘to help key workers’. But how? If they live here they’ll have permits. I don’t suppose wardens make a habit of ticketing ambulances, police cars or dustcarts.
sincevthe national strategy was ‘stay home’, why would loads of people without permits suddenly bring their cars here? No idea but they have. In my street it’s become difficult to park again and I’m still being charged for the privilege.
Parking wardens never stopped. Parking restrictions lifted did not apply to disabled bays, yellow lines business bays. The reason they were suspended was to allow key workers help vulnerable isolation people who need food deliveries, care and so forth. The Haringey website states normal restrictions will resume at short notice so the best place to look is the Haringey website. As of writing this the same rules apply and parking is free unless it’s part of the restricted areas as per the website.
This guy just told me that he was talking to a mate whose neighbour used to be a dinner lady and she believes that all Haringey schools are re-opening this Sunday.
Posted on Council Facebook Page. Question - reply Not date currently set for any return
Always worth checking their Facebook page for current changes
So are parking restriction back now? I was told today wardens were out but haven't seen any myself.
Also if they are , how are you supposed to get visitors permits what with the post now working in N4 / N8 ?
We called Homes for Haringey (who enforce the zones around us) yesterday as our estate permits have expired during lockdown and the offices are obviously closed so we can't get them renewed - it took a LONG time to get through but when we spoke to them they confirmed that they didn't have a date for estate parking enforcement to resume, they were waiting on central government decisions, and the only notice residents would have would be if they checked the website. So I guess we'll have to be doing that daily now as odds are enforcement will resume the same day they reopen for issuing permits and we'll land a fine if we aren't very alert.
