I never fail to be astonished at the ability of D Telegraph commenters to bring immigration and lesbians into every story. I kid you not, there are actually several such comments here about a silly season story.
Apparently a real complaint to a holiday company.... "No-one told us there would be fish in the sea. The children were startled." (Sound familiar?)

Made me laugh - how stupid.
Mind you my Dad went on holiday last year, somewhere on the south coast and he complained that the seagulls kept him awake. I reminded him that he lived for years next to the sea on the Wirral, and spends lots of time on his boat. But apparently these southern seagulls were, according to him, 'the wrong type of seagulls'.
And I agree Pamish, my children made a good start and would all sorts of food albeit mushed up, but now at 7 and 4 years they are very unadventurous. But thankfully they had almost as much fun at Marks Hall gardens as they did at legoland so I haven't completely given up hope.
