Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

On 9th February the council published an 'Initial Demolition Notice' confirming its plans to knock homes on the Love Lane Estate, in Tottenham.

The properties to be demolished are:

- Ermine House, Moselle Street, N17 8DE

- Moselle House, William Street, N17 8DD

- Charles House, Love Lane, N17 8DB

- 2-32 Whitehall Street, N17

- 3-89 Whitehall Street, N17

- 4-18 Brereton Road, N17

- 2-28 Orchard Place, N17

- 9-39 White Hart Lane, N17 8DU

- Kathleen Ferrier Court, Brereton Road, N17 8BY

Or "War Zone" as Lynn Garner the Director of "regeneration" accurately called it.

And indeed war has now been declared on thousands of the residents whose homes and - in some cases - businesses are threatened.  As far as I know none of the councillors own homes in the neighbourhoods under direct attack. Yet.

First they came for the Love Lane Council Estate and I did not speak out—
Because that's not where I, my family, or our close friends live or work.
