All of us that little bit too far away from Harringay's lovely market will be delighted to hear Seven Sisters now has it's own fresh produce offering.
The Tottenham Green market will be open 10am-3pm every saturday until August 2nd (located on Tottenham Green space). They will then judge how successful it's been and (hopefully) continue the market on a permanent basis, so go and show your support so it thrives!
Loads of fresh good quality produce in our newly renovated surroundings !
"Street Food | Craft Beer | Cake | Coffee | Bread | Cheese | Wine"

NOTE: I'm not personally involved with this venture at all, just a Seven Sisters resident who's glad to see this pop up! :)

It's my market
Thanks for clearing that up, I was under the impression there was some community involvement. As it's 'yours' I assume you are registered as a sole trader, in which case it might be wise to provide us with your business details co. number etc.
Prices aren't too bad. Coffee was very good. I tried the malaysian for lunch and kids had grill my cheese.
If people want cut price food they can find plenty of that in Seven Sisters as well, I'm quite happy to get my posh food in the market and my 3-for-a-pound loaves in the local store. The problem until now is that was all that was available, which wasn't fair to everyone either.
Since moving in to the area all I hear is that people want more choice of shops and food options on their doorstep, and this is exactly what was needed IMO. I do hear what you're saying, but even those who are struggling can have aspirations, and nonetheless there are abundant shopping options that now includes the diversity and great quality of the market.
Also, how is it not a good thing for everyone to be bringing people in from other areas to support our local traders and high streets? Last week I bumped into quite a few friends who had come in from across London having heard good things. Do you really think that sort of positivity is only beneficial to some? I'm just really happy that I no longer have to leave my neighbourhood to do things I enjoy (stuffing my face with great food!).
Seven Sisters / SoTo is already gentrifying at breathtaking speed. Do these new people count as part of 'the community' or not? Haringey Labour group doesn't see them and believes they need to build thousands of new private-sale homes to change the area, but they are already here. Witness the successes of the Ploughmans events, and the Beehive. It may even save the Bernie Grant Centre, if more people able to pay West End prices live within reach.
