Stinging wasps are precious, not pointless, and it's time we learned to value them. You may not love them but they are pollinators, pest control and may even help us develop new medicines.
Find out why wasps deserve our protection here
Wasps are the ancestor of bees, so bees are wasps that have forgotten how to hunt.

I really struggle with wasps as I used to have a phobia - I think this was after a sting when I was 14. It was a real, full-blown phobia though, I would really panic especially if other people were trying to swat them away!
I recovered from that to the point where I could swat them away myself, only to be stung again. I was actually overjoyed when that happened as what was once my worst fear had happened and I was still ok. But then I got stung again last year and I think the phobia may be creeping back.
