Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Thoughts on the Ladder - esp Hewitt Road
Hi
We're thinking of moving to Harringay, possibly buying a place on "the Ladder" round about Hewitt Road.
How is it there? Does it feel threatening walking say from the tube up Green Lanes to the Ladder Roads at night? Will we get hastled by gangs? IS there a lot of night-time noise.
I love the daytime buzz of Green Lanes, but reading around here I'm not so sure how it would be living there and coming and going when it is dark?
Any comments/thoughts?

I moved to Effingham Road from Crouch End 8 years ago, and have been very happy living here. Of course there is always some trouble wherever you live but that is city life, but i have never had any problem walking home at night and as there is always people about at all times have felt safe. There is a great mixture of people in Green Lanes, but most people are fine and just want to live happily together. i actully prefer it to Crouch End.
