Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Far from browsing on nettles or any of the other possible food sources in my garden, this Jersey Tiger was sitting on a steel sash cramp in my garden shed.  This moth flits suddenly from perch to perch showing spectacular flashes of bright orange but it never sits still with its wings open. My efforts to catch a flash of orange on video yielded only this feeble result.  The fellow settled instead on a coil of cables before departing for the natural world outside.

I've seen 2 or 3 of these recently - one of which was in the kitchen!

I still rely on this book to identify various creatures

Can't seem to upload the image but it's the Collins Complete British Wildlife Photoguide
