The Times newspaper Labs have joined the ranks of those pushing Twitter to its limits. It’s tweeting the entirety of Romeo and Juliet over the next month: with cats. There are 15 accounts - one for each of the main characters - and a line from the play is tweeted every 15 minutes.
"what are you doing?" "I'm twittering that you are talking to me (sorry what's your Twitter name again?)" has actually been said to me by one of the Twitterati without a shade of satire. I tried very hard not to laugh (and failed). I was also sniggering the other day at the footage of the very worthy Twestival, watching people trying to balance a bottle and their phones so they could tweet they were drinking beer at the Twestival. Young people, eh?
I still like Twitter though no matter how much people take the rise...
