First you hear that distinctive scream, you scan the skies, there they are powering through the air.
Just like that the sound of summer appears for another year.

So wonderful to see them again in the skies over my house on Sydney Road. Every year I mean to get a swift box and every year I fail but one day... not sure they'd be interested in nesting here but I guess if you don't offer the accommodation you'll never know!

We have quite a lot of Swifts nesting on the ladder. As an endangered species we need more. They are wonderful birds and l love it when they arrive. Please put up a swift box and if you are on Facebook you can join Haringey Swifts Group which can help with tips for where to put up your box etc. Good luck.
