Here's another restaurant to share with you all. It's not local but if you're in the City and fancy a decent Indian restaurant, this one near Cannon Street Station is worth looking up. There's even a bit of history as it's next door to the house where Dick Whittington used to live.
I think my favourite dish was this lamb shank. Nicely spiced and a good hunk of meat to get your teeth into.

One of my old stalwarts for a beer and curry night :) they are good for groups as well as they have a lot of set menus, very easy to divide the bill up afterwards

Funny thing, I walked past there just a week or two ago, following the amazing Time Out walking route devised by Dan Cruickshank. To be found in Vol 1 of the Time Out London Walks books.
