It may have improved the building opposite but John Cathles Hill is probably turning in his grave.

No, it's not a design masterpiece, but commercial projections are hardly likely to be cutting edge. I dispute that it looks 'awful' (a real Christmas tree was hardly an option either). If JC Hill is spinning, it began a long time ago with the outright vandalism of local buildings, long before a few lights were projected harmlessly onto a building.

These ones in Sydney look spectacular but I expect they give the designerati the vapours.
