Hi all
I am looking to improve my front crawl technique and wonder if anyone knows or can recommend a Swimming coach? I emailed the pools in the area but none of them got back to me.
Many thanks

Matt Cuthbert would if you voted for him, I'm sure.
why is he a swimmer? he's busy fighting pollution it seems. A very worthwhile cause...
Have a look at the courses at www.swimfortri.co.uk
I went to a one-day front crawl workshop with them last year which was very good, small class size, lots of ideas to go away and practice.
I can't see any scheduled one-day workshops on front crawl on their website at the moment so you might need to email them.
Thanks JoeW. I'll have a look. I'm looking for weekly 121 lessons at the moment. I don't think a day is enough : ). Do you swim in the local pools? Which pool do you prefer? Regards
Jackie Beim specialises in the Alexander Technique approach to swimming.
thanks Maddy. I need to do some research into the Alexander Technique...
Have a look at the Shaw Method website for more information.
london fields lido, does swimming lessons or has a swim doctor that provides guidance towards improvement.
I've been to a few classes and they're pretty good and very reasonably priced. £4 for the swim doctor and £5 for the actual swim.

also the lido is one of the friendlier pools around with double width lanes...
I love it there...
enjoy and good luck with your front crawl improvement
thanks Metso. I used to live near there when it was still closed. I will check it out when it gets a bit warmer. Is the water very cold?
nope, waters' lovely, i've been swimming thru the winter there... I think its about 27º Its heated all year round....
its lovely with all the mist there... you feel like your swimming alone and then you see someone emerge thru the mist...
I dont know why Gorillas in the mist comes too mind, because its nothing like that what so ever... but the film title tickled me when I thought about swimming in the mist... it made me smile... hope it makes u smile too....
