Two interlinked questions for posters here:
Firstly, where would people suggest for a traditional Sunday roast. The Salisbury and Garden Ladder are the obvious but I've not eaten at either for a good while, how are they nowadays? Any other local suggestions.
Secondly, any suggestions for lunch that's a bit different from the normal around Green Lanes. I'm thinking not turkish, sunday roast or my usual haunt of Cafe Lemon.
Cheers

Yes it is def value for money. Also a good place to just sit and read the paper.....
Thanks for the various suggestions, some I hadn't thought of there.
What's the Finsbury like nowadays, it's many years since I've been there and I keep meaning to go back as it looks a lot better these days.
The Finsbury is great - very lively, loads of live music and comedy. I'm not sure they do food at all though, except in summer when they do an amazing bbq on the forecourt.
Why not head east and and try the Beehive, opening today and serving Sunday lunch. http://www.beehiven17.com/ AND serving all the Redemption beers.
Seconded, I'm really looking forward to checking this one out - looks like it's going to be pretty impressive.
Don't know about Sunday roasts as we tend to cook our own at home, but I would highly recommend Blend for lunch (I am starting to sound like a broken record here...)
Along the lines of this thread, can anyone recommend somewhere suitable for kids i.e. with a children's area/soft play area or something like that?
Not just 'child-friendly' but a bit more than that :)
Thanks
assuming you have a car of course
not great by bycycle
