Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Still no Home for Books - Is the only Solution to Bin them?

Back in January, I posted about a pile of work-related type books I want to get rid of. They've proved impossible to give away, which seems rather strange.

Is the only solution to bin them?

Very happy to let ‘em go, but I’ve been reluctant to just bin them.

All Good Bookshop takes second handbooks at the store in Blue House Yard.

Thanks all. The books have now found a home with a local homelessness charity.

Take them to the Oxfam bookshop in Crouch End

Agree with William above. Try the Oxfam Bookshop in Crouch End. They know a lot about books, sell them in the shop and online, and in the past they have taken a car-load of boxes of books when we are having a clear-out. It is well worth the travel over to Crouch End to get them to a charity bookshop where they are knowledgeable enough to sell them. Best to agree a time - they have a rear entrance, in one corner of a small car-park which serves a number of shops, so off-loading boxes of books is quite straightforward. Also agree with all comments about feeling really bad if you have to throw away books - awful waste.

Hi, these people were brilliant at taking away our unwanted books of all kinds. Prompt, efficient, you name it:

Thanks.  That's very useful.
