Anyone interested, apparently surplus to requirements, was considering what with the added increase in population expected in the area how they came up with the assumption that it is or wouldn't be required, if surplus, why haven't the community been consulted, be interesting to see whom puts the offer in.

Shame that; it would have made a nice school for all those families moving in to the new flats that'll be built on the St Ann's Hospital site.

Who knows? maybe a free school, how would we know a climate of secrecy exists.

Could be used as a Transition centre for all the various transition organisations around, a place for neighbourhood forums to meet, an organic co-operative food distribution centre, youth and adult information centre, a nursery, a pensioners day centre, a cycling highway come community, internet cafe but hey whose asking the residents, erm, noone, democratic process ignored & worse corrupted.

This is the logic http://www.homesandproperty.co.uk/property-news/news/metropolitan-p... instead of assessing what services are required in the area, make it shut to the public and claim no footfall, community use, there is a lot of need in the area, along with thousands of families due to move into new builds all over the borough, do they even consider future needs of communities, selling off, as fast as possible, public assets, without any consultation whatsoever.

289 St Anns Road London N15 5RD so as far as I can tell a request has gone in to say its not in use and its being sold by either metropolitan police or haringey council without any consultation, planned at the beginning of our present Condem Government term, seems can't wait to sell off public assets to their investor mates, as soon as possible, same technique, close the doors to a public facility then claim that it isn't in use and to sell it off out of public assets, the metropolitan police do not own the land they are deemed to manage it not sell it off. Their are many local needs required in the area, what with increased population to rise by more than 5 thousand new families in the area but no consultation was done what so ever as to the needs for residents presently or in the future.

How long has it been a Police Station? over 110 years, if the building was underused why wasn't community groups in the area asked if they could use the facilities.

Not sure mate, all I saw was its on the market for bids, trying to find out who is responsible for this myself?

If a community group is interested, this could be a possibility for community asset transfer under the Localism Act

"Nominations for community assets can be made by parish councils or by groups with a connection with the community. Individuals cannot nominate community assets. If the nomination is accepted, the group will be given time to come up with a bid for the asset when it is sold.

The right to bid only applies when an asset’s owner decides to dispose of it. There is no compulsion on the owner of that asset to sell it. The scheme does not give first refusal to the community group, unlike the equivalent scheme in Scotland; and it is not a community right to buy the asset, just to bid. This means that the local community bid may not be the successful one"
