Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

The former police station in St Ann's Road is on fire. Fire fighters had to batter down the front door to get in.  It doesn't seem as if anyone was in the building but I cannot be sure of that. I was just passing so took this photo.

That would make a lovely big block of flats if it burnt down...

I think it currently is being redeveloped into flats. There certainly was a planning application to that effect.

MOAR flats now though if it burns down.

does make me wonder?  is this listed, which would restrict what the developers can do.  However if say a fire damaged it and it was beyond repair and had to be pulled down..............a bit like the building opposite the salisbury

Bingo! And who were those developers? Paul Simon!

Wow

Thanks for posting. I hope they managed to save it.

I really hope so, lovely Victorian building

They didn't look like they were managing to control the fire half an hour ago. I think it's going to collapse. Saw some pieces falling down.

Oh no, that's a lovely building.

Developers should forfeit a site if this happens. It's way too common. It would have been the fate of Hornsey Town Hall too.

How convenient for the developer. This should be properly investigated.
