Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

St Ann's and Harringay Area Forum, 6.30pm, Tuesday 21 January 2014 at Chestnuts Primary School, Blackboy Lane N15

Our next Area Forum meeting is next Tuesday, January 21. Please do try and come. The Council has just published its 20 year regeneration programme for the borough which includes plans for areas in both St. Ann's and Harringay. These plans are subject to a formal consultation and there will be an independent inquiry into them led by a planning inspector. So, if you have concerns and views about these plans they need to be formalised to count.

Cllr Joe Ejiofor is coming to the meeting.he is Lead Member for planning so this is a first opportunity to have your say and to hear his views.

Dear local resident,

You are invited to the St Ann’s and Harringay Area Forum and Committee which is on Tuesday, 21 January 2014, starting 6.30pm. The meeting will be at Chestnuts Primary School, Black Boy Lane. The school is easily accessible and the meeting will be on the ground floor. The formal agenda and papers are attached.

 The two main topics are:

Open question and answer with Cllr Joe Ejiofor, new lead Member for planning, licensing and enforcement. With the new Article 4 now in place to add additional controls on HMOs, additional licensing for HMOs agreed for many Tottenham wards, regeneration proposals designed to span 20 years approved by the Council’s Cabinet,  and day to day issues of enforcement, licensing and planning, there is always plenty to talk about.

Local policing and the importance of community engagement and local accountability. Inspector Natalie Shaw and the Chairs of the two ward Safer Neighbourhood Panels will lead the discussion on community policing and its links to community engagement.

These issues are both very topical and always have implications for our community. They have been widely discussed locally, so this is your chance to contribute to the debate and make any points you wish. I hope you will join us for what should be a lively meeting.

 Zena Brabazon
Cllr St. Ann's Ward

Chair, St. Ann's and Harringay Area Forum and Committee
