There was an interesting blog post on Edith's Streets yesterday crammed with fascinating tidbits of history about Alexandra Park and Palace.

Edith covers such delights as the Muswell Stream, the Wood Green and Hornsey Steam Laundry, the water village on the park boating lake, the remains of a Royal Observer Corps bunker, the rose garden built by prisoners of war and lots more.

Well worth a browse.
