I especially like the top shot - brings back many memories for me.. I had a school friend who lived on Portland Gardens. (John Humphries do you read HoL?)

BTW, you have much more snow than we do.. But we have much lower temperatures; -16°C this morning.

 Nice pics of Berlin. I was in Krakow last weekend and it was minus 16! Winter at last.... I love snow

I'm not any good with names of birds etc., I would just say a duck! They probably got fed well by the public yesterday
