Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Slow Down London is a new project to inspire Londoners to improve their lives by slowing down to do things well, rather than as fast as possible.

The Slow Down London campaign will hold a festival (24 April – 4 May 2009) offering activities and inspiration, through working with a range of partners. It will give Londoners a chance to explore slow music and arts, to try meditation and yoga, to sample slow food and crafts, to discover 'slow travel' in our own city, to debate ideas about time and pace, and to find our own ways to challenge the cult of speed and to appreciate the world around us.

What's your favourite way to Slow down in Harringay?
I find the advancing years do this without any thought on my part :-(
I find that driving back from Sainsbury's gives me ample opportunity to discover slow travel.
Think I said favourite not enforced! :)

Personally, how I just spent this afternoon, with the kids at Railway Fields, ambling about, making stuff in the hut and watching trains pass is pretty high up the list.
A long run round Finsbury Park and up the Parkland walk on a sunny day. Lovely! Not slow, technically, but a chance to reflect on your surroundings and appreciate the better aspects of city life.
