Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I took this photo yesterday (click to enlarge)

HORNSEY Housing Trust wish to redevelop the site above. Tenants currently pay a modest rent. In accordance with the HHT's remit, the residents are mainly elderly and often in poor health. Even though they would "all" be allowed back, some – quite literally – might well not survive a move.

The Ham&High recently published a story about this (attached, below).

The site – in Highgate Ward – is across Shepherd's Hill from Highgate Library (in Crouch End Ward). Also across the road is Highgate Underground station.  Diagonally-across the intersection behind, is Jackson's Lane Community Centre.

In a formal letter to residents in February, the Trust claimed that the flats "are becoming increasingly difficult to let" and "we recognise this [a move] could be stressful for you".

Goldsmith's Court is not in Harringay or St Ann's wards so does it deserve an outing on HoL.

Hornsey Housing Trust happens to have property in Harringay - Olive Tree House on Wightman Road, the old Council Depot with modern additions, also one midway along West Green Road. But if you knew that you would have said so, surely, as the reason for posting here.

Or are you resisting the construction of another steel wall, around it if it is redeveloped?
