Scam Alert - Fake Thames Water Workers in Harringay Now

This in our mailbox today:

Yesterday afternoon a policeman knocked on our door in Woodlands Park Road to inform us that someone knocked on a neighbour's door pretending to be from Thames Water in regards to new metering.

He was let in and meanwhile his associates stole things from the house. Currently, Thames Water is undertaking work in the area so it can be confusing to know who is genuine. The police have advised people to check the authenticity of the caller with Thames Water by phoning them before letting people into their property.
